Leisure and sports around the Wieserhof

Around the Wieserhof there are numerous possibilities to spend your holiday with active exercise and sports and to strengthen your fitness:

HIKING: many hiking trails start in Andriano, the nearby hiking areas in the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park (the largest nature park in South Tyrol) are partly within easy reach on foot or by public transport.
In the surroundings there is the Three Castle Walk and other places of interest:

CYCLING TOURS: several cycle paths and touring routes lead directly along the Wieserhof. The local tourist office organises free guided cycling tours for guests.
SWIMMING: in addition to the open-air pool at the Wieserhof, Andriano has a beautiful outdoor pool. Not far away you will find attractive bathing lakes, such as the Kleiner and Großer Montiggler See in Appiano, one of the cleanest lakes in Italy, the Lake Kaltern in Caldaro, which is the largest natural bathing lake in South Tyrol and an attraction for young and old. Also nearby is the Terme Merano, a real wellness oasis that is always worth a visit.
GOLFING: a few minutes away by car is the Golf Club Eppan "The Blue Monster" (9-hole golf course)

THE GARDENS OF TRAUTTMANSDORFF CASTLE in Merano are among the most beautiful gardens in the world. Several times awarded, so in the year 2005 to the most beautiful garden of Italy and 2006 to one of the most beautiful gardens of Europe, 80 garden landscapes expect the visitor on 12 hectares.
THE TOURISEUM is also housed in Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano and tells a piece of South Tyrolean tourism history in interesting exhibitions.
